Throughout career span of 37 years, worked on the project management related activities in the diversified industries like large Steam turbine/Gas turbine based power plants, large fertiliser unit, chemical and pharmaceutical concerns, associated with total engineering and project management of power plants in all the industries from inception to completion. Handling of project activities is a real challenge, which requires a hard work with foresight to anticipate problems at each step. One can not know what is in the store when working in the large project. All the projects, where worked, successfully implemented as per schedule. Today, all power projects working with consistent performance. 

Specific Achievement                    :           

Prepared “Code of Practice for Cogeneration Power Plants” for performance evaluation of industrial cogeneration power plants and “Best Practice Manual” for consistent performance of cogeneration system - job allocated by Bureau of Energy Efficiency (BEE), Ministry of Power, Govt. of India and carried out in association with M/s. Devki Energy Consultancy Pvt. Ltd., Vadodara. Code approved and officially published by BEE.  

Executed EHV switchyard projects from grass root level, design of equipment sizing, fault level and load flow studies using ETAP and other latest software, protection co-ordination, specification built-up, procurement assistance, scrutiny of drawings/documents, order specification, assistance for testing and commissioning, etc. from concept to completion.

Developed simple design and engineering programs in-house to supplement the engineering consultancy work, availability of large data base and engineering reference books, manufacturers’ data base/literature, etc. to facilitate selection based on tailor made requirement of project.

Providing Design & Engineering consultancy services in the area of captive power plant projects, industrial electrical systems, EHV Switchyards, transmission lines, energy auditing & conservation, electrical safety audits, testing of electrical equipment/trouble shooting, etc. from concept to completion.

Providing total design & engineering solutions for Electrical and Instrumentation systems, Captive Power Plant Project Engineering for industrial/ commercial complexes, Energy Audit, Electrical Safety Audit, Process Equip. Design Development, etc.

Total Project management of Gas Turbine based Captive Cogeneration Power Project of 3x4 MW capacity, Selection of GTs/associated Waste heat recovery boilers and auxiliaries, System designing, Detailed engineering, Procurement, Vendor selection, Co-ordination with foreign suppliers, Inspection & expediting, Erection, testing & commissioning, operation & maintenance of existing power distribution & utility system of steam, water supply.

Gujarat Industries Power Co. Ltd., P.O. Petrofils, Dist:Vadodara As Sr. Manager (Project) and Manager (Tech. Dev. & Project Planning)

As Head of Project Deptt entrusted with total project management of 160 MW combined cycle Gas turbine based expansion power project at Vadodara location, Activities involved conceptual stage techno-economic feasibility studies, plant cycle/capacity/fuel selection, statutory clearances, project financing, etc., Also carried out Project feasibility studies for 2x125 MW Lignite based Thermal Power Plant in Surat Distt. and presented to Govt. under open bidding system and project allocated to GIPCL.

Gujarat Heavy Chemicals Ltd., P.O. Sutrapada Veraval Distt:Junagadh As Sr. Manager (E & I)

Engineered, designed and set up total power system consisting of 2x11 MW steam turbine based captive cogeneration power plant, 66 kV power from GEB grid and in-plant power distribution at 6.6 kV and LV including equipment selection, Layouts, Technical specification preparation, vendor selection, Procurement, installation and commissioning, parallel operation GEB grid. And then Maint. Of electrical equipment & systems, erected HT/LT power lines during const. stage.

Krishak Bharati Co-op. Ltd., Sr. Engineer

Engineered, designed and set up 22 kV and LT construction power distribution lines and facilities and later on 66 kV permanent power system, Plant Electrical system engineering, procurement, installation and commissioning of 2x11 MW steam turbine based Captive Cogeneration Power Plant, CPP parallel operation with GEB grid, Procurement of electrical equipment, technical specification, bid evaluation, discussion with vendors, ordering, inspection & expediting, Installation & commi. of 66 kV Switchyard with all equipment, 11 & 3.3 kV HT switchgear.

Gujarat Electricity Board, Thermal Power Station,  Ukai, Dist: Surat and O&M Division, Veraval As Deputy Engineer (Elect) and Junior Engineer (O&M)         

Testing & commi. of steam turbine and generator protection systems for 2x120 MW and 2x210 MW STG sets and parallel operation with the gird. Erection, testing & commi. of 220 kV switchyard, electrical equipment like 6.6 kV HV switchgear, HT/LT Motors, Lifts, LV PMCC, etc.   

At 132 kV Power Receiving Sub-station, Talala - attended the maintenance of electrical equipment like Air blast circuit breakers, Oil circuit breakers, 132 & 66 kV Isolators, Battery & Chargers, air compressors, Relay & Control Panels, etc in sub-station, erection of 132 KV line under expansion project.
